The story behind About Face.
Rita earned her esthetics license in 1994, after six years as a Chanel counter manager where she developed a deep fluency in luxury skincare and the art of making someone feel genuinely seen and cared for.
She built her practice across Southern California the old-fashioned way: one client at a time, through results and relationships. Thirty years later, some of those clients are still active clients.
A few years ago, Rita found her room on Seal Beach Blvd, a space that felt right from the start. When the opportunity came in 2025 to take ownership of that space entirely, she did not just step in. She reimagined it.

Sacred Collective is the result. A curated wellness space built around Rita's values: exceptional providers, genuine community, and a retail shop dedicated primarily to women-owned small businesses, local artists, jewelers, and makers she believes in personally. Every provider and every product on the shelf has been personally vetted and curated by Rita. That is not a small thing.

When Rita is not in her treatment room, she is with the people she loves: her two adult children, her grandchildren, and Lola Bean, her devoted senior dog. She attends church, tends her houseplants, cooks, crafts, and reads everything she can find on the latest in skincare and wellness. She supports her local community fiercely and shows up for the people in her life the same way she shows up for her clients. Fully, warmly, and with genuine care.
